Sum sub £9000 [=£450,000 in 2000?]

Janet Fitzgibbon says the sum was revised to £5000 [=£250,000 in2000?] for death duty.

Eleanor BEAVEN [Parents] was born UNKNOWN. She died in 1803. She was buried on 21 Mar 1803 in Lacock, Wiltshire. She married Richard JOYCE.

BEAVEN seems more likely because one of her father's executors wasChristopher BEAVEN of Rowden, Chippenham. Probably known as "Jane"(this came from original source) but Eleanor seems more likely asthere are 9 baptisms of children of Richard and Eleanor JOYCE atBromham, Wiltshire - with many names which match those quoted byRichard in his will. Then, there are three more at Lacock:

7 December 1783: Baptism of Isaac JOYCE. Parents: Richard JOYCE &Eliner
14 November 1784: Baptism of Mary Beven JOYCE. Parents: RichardJOYCE & Eliner
3 May 1795: Baptism of William Bevin JOYCE. Parents: Richard JOYCE &Eloner

Some doubt over her date of birth (given as 1773 in my originalsource) as she would only have been 10 on the birth of her firstchild!

Janet Fitzgibbon seems certain that she was Eleanor (or similarspellings!) and not Jane as shown in my original source - so that iswhat she now is here.

They had the following children:

M i Isaac JOYCE was born in 1783 in Lacock, Wiltshire. He died before 1812. He was buried in 1874 in Lacock, Wiltshire. Isaac was baptized on 7 Dec 1783 in Lacock, Wiltshire. He died in 1874 in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Parish Register, Lacock, Wiltshire, 7 December 1783: Baptism of IsaacJOYCE. Parents: Richard JOYCE & Eliner.

Must be some doubt about how long he lived. The will of hisgrandfather, James BEAVEN, mentions six of his siblings but not him.So perhaps he died before the will which was dated 1812.
  F ii Mary Beven JOYCE
F iii Sarah JOYCE was born in 1786 in Bromham, Wiltshire. She died before 1790.

IGI shows baptism at Bromham, Wiltshire 24Sep1786. Parents Richardand Eleanor JOYCE.

Looks as if she died before 1790 when another Sarah was baptised.
M iv Henry JOYCE was born in 1787 in Bromham, Wiltshire. He died in 1788 in Lacock, Wiltshire. He was buried on 1 Feb 1788 in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Died in youth - comment on original source.

IGI shows baptism at Bromham, Wiltshire 30Sep1787. Parents Richardand Eleanor JOYCE.

Janet Fitzgibbon has burial as 1 February 1788 Lacock.
  F v Eleanor JOYCE
F vi Sarah JOYCE was born in 1790 in Bromham, Wiltshire. She died in 1806 in Lacock, Wiltshire. She was buried on 1 Apr 1806 in Lacock, Wiltshire.

IGI shows baptism at Bromham, Wiltshire 07Mar1790. Parents Richardand Eleanor JOYCE.

Janet Fitzgibbon has burial as 1 April 1806, Lacock.

Not mentioned in her father's will of 1828.
  F vii Joanna JOYCE
M viii Richard JOYCE 1 was born in 1792 in Lacock, Wiltshire. He died in 1792 in Lacock, Wiltshire.
M ix William Bevan JOYCE was born in 1795 in Lacock, Wiltshire. William was baptized on 3 May 1795 in Lacock, Wiltshire.

Parish Register, Lacock, Wiltshire, 3 May 1795: Baptism of WilliamJOYCE. Parents: Richard JOYCE & Eloner.

Janet Fitzgibbon has him as William Bevan JOYCE, born 1795.
  F x Susanna JOYCE
  M xi Richard JOYCE
  F xii Elizabeth JOYCE
M xiii Henry JOYCE was born in 1801/1802 in Bromham, Wiltshire. He died in 1802 in Lacock, Wiltshire. He was buried on 14 Mar 1802 in Lacock, Wiltshire.

IGI shows baptism at Bromham, Wiltshire 24Jan1802. Parents Richardand Eleanor JOYCE.

Janet Fitzgibbon has a note of the burial of an infant 14 March 1802,Lacock.
